Ecommerce Jobs 11-29-10

All from the world-famous Harry Joiner:

1.) VP of Ecommerce (Boulder, CO): A while back we closed a Director of Ecommerce search for Crocs, and since then, Crocs’ VP of Ecommerce, Chris Ladd, has been promoted to CMO. This search is for Chris’ replacement, and the position will report directly to him.

Let’s be clear about one thing right now: This is a FANTASTIC opportunity any way you slice it. Great base … Tremendous bonus … Based in Boulder … Yes, Boulder … International responsibilities … Excellent team in place … Wonderful vendor partners, including Demandware. And it’s based in Boulder.

As info, Crocs is one the top five companies in the footwear industry as ranked by gross margin. (Gross Margin tells you how many of your sales dollars are profit. If efficiency is improved, more profits will result.) Crocs has gross margin of 55%, sales growth of 22%, and trailing 12 months sales of $746 million. These guys are killing it.

Candidates MUST have managed a $100 million ecommerce P&L. Special consideration will be given to candidates with international experience. All applications are being managed by yours truly, and contacting the client directly will only result in Crocs referring you right back to me. (Actually, this “fair play” clause is in all of our contracts.) Email your request for the job spec:

2.) Head of Site Management (Northbrook, IL): Crate & Barrel. This role reports directly to John Seebeck, one of the brightest guys in the business. Base in the mid-100’s. Outstanding team-oriented corporate culture. We have a new job spec for this role. See

3.) Director of Online Marketing (Columbus, OH): We’ve been on this search for +90 days, and we’ve watched the comp for this role climb … climb … and climb. As of this writing, we’re talking KILLER BASE + bonus. Hiring manager Jim Wright ain’t messing around: He wants a star candidate with apparel experience, and he’s digging deep to get one. See

4.) Ecommerce Operations Manager (Manchester, VT): Vermont Country Store. We adore this client, and this hiring manager, Andrea Quaglin, is one of our favorites. See

5.) Director of Ecommerce (Los Angeles, CA): Nasty Gal is a smart clothing designer / marketer who seemingly came out of nowhere this year, and they need YOU to take their online business to the next level. Six-figure base. See

Nasty Gal also seeks a Director of Online Merchandising. Six figure base. Email me for more info:
