“Yesterday Adobe announced its intention to purchase Omniture. The deal, valued at $1.8 billion, represents Adobe’s largest and costliest acquisition since the Macromedia deal in 2005. It’s a rich valuation by anyone’s standards and validates our belief that the analytics space—including related marketing applications—will increasingly become a touchstone for any company doing business online.
Ultimately, it is you—analytics customers and partners—who will determine which companies succeed in this space. That’s why we were particularly pleased by The Forrester WaveTM: Web Analytics, Q3 2009 report (July 2009), in which Coremetrics customers “expressed satisfaction levels higher than any other company evaluated, with perfect marks in services, responsiveness, and support, among others.” Today, Coremetrics is working with more than 2,000 online brands globally to optimize online marketing programs. To do this, we have focused on building a tightly coupled set of marketing optimization applications, enhancing our Customer Service model, and investing in Coremetrics Connect™ partnerships.
The Adobe-Omniture deal positions Coremetrics as the largest standalone, profitable marketing optimization company on the market; that singular focus allows us to devote our unbiased attention to helping our customers optimize their online business and our partners better serve our joint clients. We will continue to invest in our Continuous Optimization Platform to help you make the best offer, anywhere, anytime, automatically. You can and should expect us to continue investing in technologies, services, and partner integrations that deliver the kind of innovative applications that disrupt the status quo and create new ways for you to reach untapped markets.
