When someone is already paying around $4 a gallon for gas, maybe it is
not the best time to see if they want a bag of chips or a drink too.
In my opinion the best part of these units is the mute button. Anyone
else have an opinion on these?

I hate those things so much. The only thing I enjoy about them is the chuckle I get everytime I see the mute button completely worn out from being pressed so often and so hard.
I hate hate hate those pump-attached boxes of audible annoyance. Sometimes I question what a screwdriver in the speaker would do for permanent mute.
