It’s been a few years since a yellow rubber bracelet was the must have item, so it is fitting that Lance Armstrong and his namesake foundation are getting back into the for-profit game. Armstrong, LAF, and Demand Media are partnering up to launch the site that will use advertising as its income source. Armstrong and the LAF are taking an equity position in Demand Media. The California-based web site operator will launch the health and wellness site later this year. Demand Media is led be founder MySpace chairman Richard Rosenblatt.
